Dr. Gwen Korovin is under investigation for performing unathorized biopsy on 81-year old Joan that eventually triggered the demise of the ace comedian...
"It is very difficult to discuss something so unpleasant with her, but she's going to launch a lawsuit" a friend of Melissa told DailyMail
"Korovin maintains privileges at one of the city's most prestigious hospitals. She is respected and admired by her peers in the medical community and she's revered by her patients" Korovin's lawyer, Michael Kelton said in a statement released to the DailyMail
Rivers went into cardiac and respiratory arrest on August 28th, 2014 while undergoing a throat procedure at the YorkVille Endoscopy Clinic on the Upper East Side. She later died at Mount Sinai Hospital on September 4th, 2014
