Meet The New Director Of International Academy Of Television Arts & Sciences, Mo Abudu!!!

Mo Abudu has been appointed a Director of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the organization responsible for staging the world famous International Emmy Awards. 

The development follows the continued progress made by EbonyLife Media to seek global recognition for Nigerian TV and film production. As a member of the board, she joins a select group of about 100 Directors who are international executives from leading channels, production and distribution companies. 
On hearing the news, Mo expressed her delight saying:

"I’ve always wanted to be a member of the International Academy, to help make African voices heard when it comes to nominating and rewarding the world’s best television shows. Yayyyyyy, It's beginning to look like Christmas for Funke Akindele and her musician husband, Abdul Rasheed Bello aka JJC Skillz. The love birds welcomed twin boys earlier today, after three years of marriage and we are super excited them. Mom and children are said to be doing good.
 JJC Skillz has children from his past relationship, but this is a first for the 41 year old actress cum producer aka "Janifa".

President Trump And First Lady Melania Pay Their Respects To Bush!!!

President Trump and first lady Melania Trump paid their respects to President George H.W. Bush in the US Capitol Rotunda on Monday night. The pair arrived hand-in-hand as they bowed their heads in prayer with the Commander-in-chief also saluting Bush's casket before leaving. The visit by the Trumps was a total of 75-secs according to CNN.

Trump will reportedly pay a condolence call to the Bush family on Tuesday at Blair House.

Body Of Former President Bush Lies In State In U.S. Capitol!!!

 The body of former U.S. President George H.W. Bush arrived on Monday at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, where mourners will pay tribute to the man who led the nation as the Cold War ended.

With hands on hearts, members of Bush's cabinet, lawmakers and Supreme Court justices honored the 41st president as his flag-draped casket entered the Capitol Rotunda.

The Bush family, led by son and former President George W. Bush were on hand as the patriarch of their family was sent off from his home with a 21-gun salute and his casket, taken to Joint Base Andrews outside Washington, and then on a final trip down Pennsylvania Avenue to the steps of the Capitol.

America Honors President George H.W. Bush!!!

The body of former President George H.W. Bush arrived Monday afternoon on "Special Air Mission 41," a presidential aircraft temporarily renamed in honor of the 41st president, from Houston to the nation's capital, where he will lie in state until Wednesday.

Leaders of the House and Senate announced over the weekend that the former president, who died Friday at 94, would lie in state in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. 

Bush is among the select few who have lain in state in the Capitol Rotunda.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who died in August a little more than a year after being diagnosed with brain cancer, was the last person to lie in state there. Former President Gerald Ford was the last president to lie in state in the rotunda after he died in late 2006. Former President Ronald Reagan also lied there in 2004, as did civil rights icon Rosa Parks after her death in 2005.

Dogs are truly a man's best friend. The above photo breaks our heart. Former President George H W Bush's service dog, Sully H Bush is photographed lying before the former president's flag draped casket in Houston. Sully spent the whole of Sunday night keeping watch over his best-friend's casket.

The yellow Labrador accompanied his master one last time by travelling to Washington with Bush's casket.

Sully is a very smart dog, trained by America VetDogs which places dogs and guide dogs with veterans, active-duty service members and first responders.

The queen of the runway is getting personal with her own YouTube channel......“Being Naomi”  Campbell intends to share her life with all her fans out there, especially the ones in Africa. Speaking to a Wizkid tune playing in the background, Naomi shared clips of herself through several milestones in her career.

Ms Campbell reportedly, intends to share a live-stream of the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg on the channel, and will on December 13 be telling the story of how she was discovered in a feature titled “My Journey.”

Nick Jonas And Priyanka Chopra Ties The Knot In A Star-Studded Western Ceremony In India!!!

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, 36, and American singer Nick Jonas, 26 are now husband and wife.

According Mail Online, the actress and the musician tied the knot yesterday, Dec 1 in a Hindu ceremony, which was followed by a Christian ceremony that was anchored by Nick's pastor father Paul Kevin Jonas Sr at the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Chopra rocked a custom Ralph Lauren gown, while her new spouse also opted for the brand. Lauren is a close friend of the couple. 

According to PinkVilla.com, the entire wedding party was kitted out in the designer gear. Men wore black tuxedos and women donned pastels for the ceremony on the back lawn.

Ebony Magazine's annual Power 100 Gala went down last Friday night in Los Angeles, CA.

It's the magazine's 73rd Anniversary and it unveiled its prestigious annual EBONY Power 100 List for 2018. 

Among those made the list are #MeToo founder, Tarana Burke, Stacey Abrams, the first Black Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee (honored in The Disruptors category); Andrew Gillum, Mayor of Tallahassee and the first Black candidate for governor of Florida (honored in Disruptors category); Keisha Lance Bottoms, the second Black female mayor of Atlanta (honored in the Women Up category); and London Breed, the first Black female LGBT mayor of San Francisco (also honored in the Women Up category). 

Other celebrities in attendance included Cari Champion , Neyo, Eva Marcelle , Saweetie, Cynthia Bailey, Yolanda Adams, Chris Tucker, Adienne Baillion and husband Israel Houghton, David Oyelowo, and Kat Graham.

Donald Trump And First Lady Melania Will Attend George H.W. Bush Funeral; Wednesday Will Be Day Of Mourning!!!

President Donald Trump and first lady Malania Trump will be attending the funeral of former President George H W Bush at the National Cathedral.  Details of the funeral are still sketchy at this time. Below is a released statement from the white House earlier today.....

“The president and first lady were notified late last night of President George H.W. Bush’s passing. President Trump is scheduled to speak with President George W. Bush this morning and offer his condolences on behalf of himself, the first lady and the entire country," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. 

 "A state funeral is being arranged with all of the accompanying support and honors. The president will designate Wednesday, Dec. 5 as a National Day Of Mourning. He and the first lady will attend the funeral at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.”

You would recall that, Trump was not invited to First lady Barbara Bush's funeral in April even though other ex-presidents were in attendance.  This says a lot about the character and patriotism of George H W Bush.
He might not have agreed with President Trump (nobody dose) on anything but he has enormous respect for the office of the president and it is only appropriate that a seating president be invited.....(Decent)!

George H W Bush. 41st Dies At 94!!!

George Bush, the 41st President of the United States, and the father of George Bush, 43 died overnight at his home in Houston, TX, surrounded by family and friends. He was 94. His death comes a little over 7-months of the passing of his wife of 73-years, former first lady, Barbara Bush who passed in April at the age of 92.
The former President had a form of Parkinson's disease that forced him to use a wheelchair or motorized scooter in recent years and he had been in and out of the hospital as his health declined.

Chris Okotie Wants All Other Presidential Candidates To Step Down For Him!!!

Oh dear! Are we doing this again? Like, Really???

Televangelist, Chris Okotie of the Household of God Church is running for the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria again and this time, the pastor wants all other candidate to give up their position so he alone can run and become the president in 2019.......What????, Excuse me while I role my eyes y'all😀. 

The preacher said this during an interview with Daily Trust News in Lagos, Nigeria.
Okotie who is running under the Fresh Party, plans to suspend the constitutions when he becomes Mr President, and create an interim government where there will be no need for legislature.

"I already have the Fresh Party’s presidential ticket, and that means we shall be participating in the presidential election slated for February 2019. But what I am saying is that all other parties should not field candidates against me in the 2019 presidential election so that it would be easy for me to set up the Interim National Government. If they don’t field candidates, it means I have won and what I’d do immediately is set up an ING instead of the normal or ordinary government that is put in place, where we have the legislature, judiciary and all of that that is not workable. An interim government will not need a legislature and it is at this time that we can redesign the political landscape"

 Asked how it would work, since the constitution does not support an interim government, the MOG responded ....

"The Constitution was created by men. It can be suspended and we can put an ad hoc mechanism in place to legalize the machinery of an interim government. It can be done. It is not impossible".......(Iyen naa nice...lol).

KimPortersFuneral: Hearse Carrying Kim Porter's Remains Arrive At Cascade Hills Church!!!

Friends and family of the beloved actress and model, Kim Porter who passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Los Angeles home on November 15th, are gathered this morning at the Cascade Hills Church in Columbus, Georgia to bid final farewell to the lady so many has described only in positive terms.

The funeral that is just beginning would see many from the industry in attendance. R&B singer, Faith Evans, a close friend of Kim and Diddy will reportedly perform at the ceremony.

We learned earlier that P Diddy will be giving eulogy to the woman he said was "more than his soul mate" however, we will not be surprised if her bow out at the last minutes because of his very fragile emotional state. (Awwww)!

As the world continue to mourn the sudden death of model and actress, Kim Porter, ex boyfriend and father of three of her children, Sean 'P Diddy' Combs and her family released a statement last night, before the private viewing ahead of her funeral today in Columbus Georgia..

The statement read...

"God broke the mold when he made Kim, there was truly no other woman like her. Although her time here on earth was far too short, she lived a life full of purpose and meaning. She was a loving mother and devoted friend.

She was the epitome of kindness and grace. There wasn’t a person she met who’s soul she did not touch. Kim was the type of woman who changed lives for the better.  Although we’ve lost our best friend, God has gained a special angel and we know she is watching over us.

She will be forever remembered and missed by so many. As a family, we promise to honor her every day of our lives. We love you always. The Porter, Goodwin and Combs families.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Are Moving Out Of Kensington Palace!!!

With baby on the way, it's off to the country for royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. 

Palace officials are saying that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move from Kensington Palace sometimes next year into a 10 bedroom Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle ahead of the anticipated birth of their first child.

'Never Give Up Hope': Gabrielle Union's 'Miracle Baby' Is Her #WCW And Her Post Will Have You Teary Eyed

It's no secret that actress Gabrielle Union has experienced complication with pregnancy. "I have had eight or nine miscarriages" Gabrielle revealed in her autobiography "We Are Going To Need More Wine" which was released late last year.

"For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant. I've either been about to into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle."

Fortunately, Gabrielle and her husband, Dwayne Wade welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world two weeks ago.

Drifting on the cloud since announcing that their adorable "miracle baby" Kaavia James Union Wade, arrived via surrogate on Nov. 7th, we've been happily enjoying the 46-year old actress' journey as a mother via Instagram.

Michelle Obama’s Memoir 'Becoming' Sells 1.4 million Copies In One Week!!!

Former first lady Michelle Obama is smiling to the bank and she deserve every bit of it.  Her memoir "Becoming" is becoming a massive hit. According to Crown Publishing, the book has sold over 1.4 million copies in prints and digital in the US and Canada alone. On it's first day, the book sold more than 725.000 copies in North America, making it one of the year's biggest debut.

The book is a revealing look at her life before her husband, former president, Barack Obama ran for president, her time in the White House, and how she felt when it was time to exit after the 2016 presidential election.

"Becoming" is the number one adult nonfiction book in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Holland, Spain, Denmark and Finland per The Associated Press. In Germany alone, a second printing of 100.000 copies was prompted after 200.000 was already sold.

"Don't Cry For Me When I Leave".....Tosyn Bucknor. Did The OAP Predict Her Own Death Or Was This Suicide?!!!

As a former OAP, there are some people in the industry, particularly in Nigeria that I loved and listen to whenever I have the opportunity, Oluwatosin Abisona Bucknor was one of them.
Tosyn, as she was fondly called, was not only a radio host, she was also a brilliant writer, actress, musician and activist who was simply ahead of her time.....She was amazing. SHE WAS THE VOICE OF LAGOS.

But all of that came to a halt last Monday when the ever-so-lovely and soft spoken 37-year old succumbed to complications from sickle cell disease. According to reports, her Australian husband, Aurelien Boyer returned home from work on Monday night only to be confronted with the lifeless body of his wife at their Lekki home. Her death shocked everyone who knew her and everyone whoever had the opportunity to hear her speak.

Until her death, she worked as a on air personality with Inspirational FM. She hosted The Lunchtime Show with Angie Francis where she engaged big names guest in the entertainment industry. Bucknor also hosted the daily pop culture show 4PM in Lagos as well as The Good Citizen Radio Show, which addressed civic engagements

Interestingly, only days before her death, she penned down a well lettered untitled poem which clearly shows that the lovely young lady may have seen this coming. She felt it close. She predicted her own death. Yes, she was that special (But some folks are saying....nahhh, she did it!).

Rap Mogul Sean 'P Diddy' Combs Is Devastated And In Shock About Ex, Kim Porter's Death!!!

The entire entertainment industry was rocked to it's core yesterday, following the sudden death of one it's own, actress and super model, Kim Porter. The 47-year old ex-girlfriend of rap mogul Sean P Diddy was found dead at her home in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ who first broke the news, the mother of four passed away after paramedics were called to her Toluca Lake house at about noon. Dispatch audio indicates that she had suffered from cardiac arrest. The online news media also reported that she had been suffering from Pneumonia, but it's unclear if that was the cause of her death. Autopsy will be performed to determine the cause.

Idris Elba’s Daughter Isan Is 2019 Golden Globe Ambassador!!!

Oh wowww, while actor Idris Elba is the reigning sexiest man alive, his first child. Isan has been named the 2019 Golden Globe Ambassador. Hollywood Foreign Press Association(HFPA) president, Meher Tatna made the announcement Wednesday night during a ceremony at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles.
Isan the beautiful daughter of celebrated Hollywood actor, Idris and ex-wife, Kim, a Danish make-up artist and entrepreneur, will be joining a long list of celebrity kids who have traditionally assisted with the presentation of statuettes during the annual awards telecast. Her duties will also include aligning herself with a nonprofit organization to raise awareness about a social issue of her choice. Mental health seem to be one that is close to the 16-year old's heart.

An Arrest Made In Connection With Packages Containing Suspected Explosives!!!

Federal authorities have arrested a man in South Florida in connection with suspicious packages containing explosives that targeted top democrats and other prominent figures across the country.

A total of 13 suspected packages in the investigation into an apparent association attempt on two former presidents and other very important politician as well as a Hollywood celebrity were intercepted by authorities with the latest targets being Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey and former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper. 
It's worthy of note that the targets of the suspected bomb attack were people who have been publicly critical of current President, Donald Trump and his administration.

Suspicious Packages Sent To Time Warner Center, Clinton And Obama!!!

Suspicious device believed to be explosive addressed to former President Barack Obama and former presidential candidate, Hilary Clinton were today intercepted by law enforcement. Police also evacuated the Time Warner Center in New York, including CNN employees to investigate another suspicious package. Media reports also said the office of Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, the former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, also were evacuated after a suspicious package was found.

Two days earlier, an explosive device was found at the home of politically active billionaire George Soros, a pariah to the right wing. Soros' home in Bedford, New York, is a few miles from the Clintons' residence.

CNN reported that the devices addressed to Obama, Clinton and Soros share a number of characteristics. The packaging in which they were sent is almost exactly the same for all three devices, and they each have a return address belonging to a former Democratic party official.

The Secret Service said the package addressed to Obama was intercepted by agency personnel in Washington on Wednesday morning.

At 80-years of age, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, is still living 'the life'. After welcoming two sets of twin babies a week apart in February, the first class king. who is married to seven women has again welcomed another set by another of his young wives, Queen Aanu, bringing the total to 3 set of twins withing the span of 8-months. Woww! This is one busy 80-year old. Literally. (You know, busy, as in busy in the "oza" room...lol).  Power to you grandpa, you are THE MAN.

Queen Aanu broke the news on her Instagram page with a throw-back photo of her baby bump and a photo of the twins. She captioned it thus....

Oh Lord! Who am I that you are mindful of, your love is unconditional, I praise your name baba, for it is not by my power nor by might but by your grace. I can’t contain this happiness , thank you Lord for your faithfulness. Welcome my Prince and Princess. Wonderful bundles of joy, I still can’t believe that I’m now a mother. Thank you Lord for this blessings. I pray that may the peace of God dwell with us. Pls join me to thank this gracious God.

Kim Kardashian Met The President Of Uganda And, He Doesn't Know What She Does!!!

Rapper Kanye West and family are still on a working vacation in Uganda, where Kanye is working on a new album. The rapper took time out of his busy schedule to meet with President Yoweri Museveni, a declared lover of president Trump. While visiting the President, the rapper and his wife, Kim Kardashian-West presented the president with a pair of signed white Yeezy sneakers.

Apparently, president Musevenu had not been "Keeping Up"....lol. The president had absolutely no clue what Kim does for a living.....(Don't we all feel the same way?...lol).

It all happened when KimYe visited with the president of Uganda and the president asked Kim why she had to leave early, she replied that she had to go back to work. The president then asked the question on everyone's mind.....What do you do?
Kim very politely said that she had a TV show with sisters and family and they were all waiting for her return.

The president later tweeted about the visit and simply called the couple "entertainment stars"

Former West Virginia RB Justin Crawford Arrested After Allegedly Having Sex With A Minor!!!

This is crazy y'all. Multiple sources are reporting that formal West Virginia running back, Justin Crawford was arrested on Saturday in Columbus, GA on charges of having sex with a 12-year old (12-year old? Sick!).
Crawford has been charged with aggravated child molestation, sodomy and enticing a child for indecent purposes. He is currently held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail in Columbus.

Awww, Check Out A Forensic Artist's Prediction Of What Meghan And Harry's Baby Will Look Like!!!

Renowned D.C based forensic image specialist, Joe Mullins has helped traced countless missing children by sketching their age progression. With facial reconstructions of unknown skeletal remains, soft tissue reconstruction and fugitive update, the 17-year veteran of the profession has helped solve many police investigation. But in his spare time, Mullins enjoys using his skills for 'fun but scientific forecast' of the looks of celebrities 20-years from now, or how their children might look.

He has sketched the future looks of artist like Madonna and Britney Spears and in 2012, he predicted the look of the child, Kate Middleton and Prince William was expecting and to say that the images matched with reality will be an understatement. He describes his work as a "mix of arts and science" and we agree.

Mullin who trained first as a graphic designer before becoming a Forensic Image Specialist has, through the study of Meghan and Prince Harry's photos, put together a mock up of what their unborn child will look like. He predicts that a daughter will have brown eyes and dark hair, while a son will have blue eyes and brown hair. The result is exciting. .

The 41-year hold touched down in the country Oct 12 in a private and later flown by helicopter to Chobe Safari Lodge, a five star luxury resort, where his team have set up a temporary music studio in the wild for the next one week where Ye is planning to record "a
