Meet The Three Gorgeous Queens Of The Benin Kingdom!!!

His Royal Highness, Ehenede Erediauwa was today crowned the 39th Oba of the Benin Kingdom, succeeding his late father, Omo n'Oba n'Edo Uku Akpolopkolo. The new Oba has three queens. They are Princess Iroghama( Obazuaye N'erie), Princess Iyayiota(Obazuwa N'erie) and Princess Ikpakpa(Ohe N'erie.

Behold The New Oba Of Benin Kingdom***Photos***!!!

Security is beefed up in the ancient city of Benin Kingdom as the city gets a new king after the death of Oba Erediauwa, the 38th King in April. Prince Eheneden Erediauwa was on Thursday crowned the 39th Oba of the Kingdom, but is name is still a kept secret that will be revealed at a later date. The colorful ceremony was attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, many state governors, traditional rulers and many dignitaries from all over the country and beyond.

The crowning was done in a private ceremony at 2am inside the Usama palace, a temporary building erected for the coronation. The Edo state governor has declared Thursday a public holiday for the coronation.

Kerry Washington And Nnamdi Asomugha Welcome Son Caleb!!!

Scandal star, kerry Washington and husband, Nnamdi Asomugha have welcomed another little addition to their beautiful family. E! News has revealed that Kerry, who is known for keeping her personal life private gave birth to her second child, Caleb Kelechi Asomugha on the 5th of October, 2016.

The couple also have a daughter named Isabella Amarachi Asomugha.

Say What Now? Delta Airlines Crew Almost Let a Passenger Die Because They Refused to Believe a Black Woman Was a Doctor!!!

Tamika Cross, an OBGYN, was sitting aboard her Delta Airline flight out of Detroit, Michigan, when another male passenger on the plane became unresponsive.
being a doctor, Tamika's first was to rush to and help the man after an attendant called overheard asking for a physician---only to find herself being retrained by the airline crew who didn't believe that a black woman leaving Detroit could actually be a doctor.

You will not believe what happened next....

Here is Tamika's story:

"I'm sure many of my fellow young, corporate America working women of color can all understand my frustration when I say I'm sick of being disrespected. 

Was on Delta flight DL945 and someone 2 rows in front of me was screaming for help. Her husband was unresponsive. I naturally jumped into Doctor mode as no one else was getting up. Unbuckle my seatbelt and throw my tray table up and as I'm about to stand up, flight attendant says "everyone stay calm, it's just a night terror, he is alright". I continue to watch the scene closely. 

A couple mins later he is unresponsive again and the flight attendant yells "call overhead for a physician on board". I raised my hand to grab her attention. She said to me "oh no sweetie put ur hand down, we are looking for actual physicians or nurses or some type of medical personnel, we don't have time to talk to you" I tried to inform her that I was a physician but I was continually cut off by condescending remarks. 

Then overhead they paged "any physician on board please press your button". I stare at her as I go to press my button. She said "oh wow you're an actual physician?" I reply yes. She said "let me see your credentials. What type of Doctor are you? Where do you work? Why were you in Detroit?" (Please remember this man is still in need of help and she is blocking my row from even standing up while
Bombarding me with questions). 

I respond "OBGYN, work in Houston, in Detroit for a wedding, but believe it or not they DO HAVE doctors in Detroit. Now excuse me so I can help the man in need". Another "seasoned" white male approaches the row and says he is a physician as well. She says to me "thanks for your help but he can help us, and he has his credentials". (Mind you he hasn't shown anything to her. Just showed up and fit the "description of a doctor") I stay seated. Mind blown. Blood boiling. (Man is responding the his questions and is seemingly better now Thank God) 

Then this heifer has the nerve to ask for my input on what to do next about 10 mins later. I tell her we need vitals and blood sugar. She comes back to report to me a BP of 80/50 (super low, to my non medical peeps) and they can't find a glucometer. We continue down that pathway of medical work up, but the point is she needed my help and I continued to help despite the choice words I had saved up for her. The patient and his wife weren't the problem, they needed help and we were mid flight. 

She came and apologized to me several times and offering me skymiles. I kindly refused. This is going higher than her. I don't want skymiles in exchange for blatant discrimination. Whether this was race, age, gender discrimination, it's not right. She will not get away with this....and I will still get my skymiles...."

Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo has found love again.....

 Eight years after his divorce from his first wife, Khadijat, Yoruba actor, Femi, first son of veteran actor, Adebayo Salami aka "Mr Bello" took a second shot at marriage over the weekend when he tied the knot with his new love, Maimunat at a Nikkah ceremony.
Not much is known about the beautiful bride, except that she is a US based business woman. The hush-hush wedding was held at a secret location in Maryland, Lagos.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Is Guest Of Honour at Dior’s Paris Fashion Show Alongside Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence***Photos***!!!

Yesterday, creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri of the iconic French Fashion House, Christian Dior debuted her first collection for the 70-year old brand at the Paris Fashion Week. Guest of honors at the event was, Nigerian author and feminist, Chimanda Ngozi Adichie, who took her place at the highly coveted front row with stars like Rhianna, Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Moss, Marion Cotillard, and many more.
The theme of the collection was Female-empowered Designs and the models walked the runway to the sound of Adichie's rousing feminist manifesto "We Should All Be Feminist"

The beautiful and brilliant Adichie was dressed in everything Dior for the event.

Veteran Nollywood Actor Elder Maya Passes Away After Long Battle With Liver Disease!!!

Some real sad news coming out of Nollywood today, as veteran actor, Martin Njuibigbo passes on after a long battle with liver cancer. Elder Maya, as he's fondly referred to, died yesterday morning according to a family member. He will be remembered for movies like "Died Wretched" and "Battle of Musanga".

 May his soul rest in peace!
