Do Not Play Politics With Chief (Mrs) Awolowo's Death---Fayose Warns!!!

Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose  is calling on all Nigerian politicians to please preserve Chief Mrs H I D Awolowo's legacy and desist from playing politics with death of the matriarch of the Awolowo's dynasty. The Governor who spoke in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, warned  everyone against celebrating the deceased for political reasons, advising  that politicians should rather sustain her legacy as well as that of her late husband, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, noting also, that visiting the Awolowos should not just be a one-off thing aimed at making publicity stunts.

“One thing I like to remind all  politicians; it is in our way to make politics out of people’s lives, to celebrate them for political reasons" he said

Chief Obafemi Awolowo's jewel of inestimable value died on Saturday, 19th at 3:15pm, two months to her centenary birthday.

She was said to have passed on after she held a meeting with her family members on the plan for her 100-years birthday.
Announcing the demise, her eldest child, Omotola Oyediran, in a   statement   she signed on behalf of the family, said...
 “Mama died while praying for her children over her planned   centenary birthday”.
The statement read: “Mama died as glorious as she lived. She spent the day in the company of her children,   grand children, great grand children and close family. She shared a precious few minutes with them when she went in to pray for them as they met to plan her centenary birthday.
“They sang her a befitting song as she came in and she continued to pray for them. She died a couple of hours later as she had always wished to be   surrounded by her children,   grand children   and great grand children.”

For Friday’s state dinner in honor of Chinese president Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan, first lady Michelle Obama chose a custom mermaid gown from Vera Wang Collection. It was an inky black floor-length dress in silk crepe with a hand-draped skirt and organza sleeves. It exuded Hollywood glamor of the sort that has long defined the red carpet. Pope Francis steps into US Soil for the very first time in his life and was welcomed by President Barack Obama who was accompanied by his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington D.C when the 78-year old pontiff's plane landed earlier today. The pope is scheduled to spend Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Washington. Friday in New York and Saturday and Sunday in Philadelphia. Although the Pope disagrees with President Obama on the issues of abortion and gay marriage, the two have a great rapport and will be discussing a lot of other issues as it affects the world, particularly, the issue of immigration.....

Exclusive Photos Of The New Private Jet Allegedly Bought By Pastor Adeboye!!!

Sahara Reporters are reporting that pastor Enoch Adeboye of Redeemed Christian Church of God has bought himself a brand new Gulfstream G550 luxury jet. This comes about 24-hours after the same online news agency announced that Pastor TB Joshua had secretly purchased himself a Gulstream G550 private jet barely a year after a building collapsed at his mega Church, Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) killing 116 people at their premises in Ikotu-Egbe area of Lagos State, Nigeria. Below is part of SR's report

"Pastor Adeboye's Gulfstream G550 luxury jet was manufactured in Savannah, Georgia State in the US. The jet, which was made in 2013 is far newer than the one bought by Pastor TB Joshua. Pastor Adeboye took delivery of his brand new jet in May 2015. e learned that, with the arrival of the US-registered jet, N730EA Gulfstream G550, Pastor Adeboye has jettisoned an older Gulfstream GIV with tail number N707EA that used to ferry him around the world on his preaching missions. Our sources said the leader of the Redeemed Church personally owns Emmanuel Aviation to which  the two jets are registered both in the US and Nigeria.

Linda Ikeji has reportedly gotten hold of exclusive photos of the supposed private jet. The photos show a bold emblazoned initials of the pastor 'EA' alongside the RCCG logo of a dove on the tail of the aircraft.

75-Year Old Man Divorces Wife Due To Lack Of Sex!!!!

Hehehe! I hear you papa, it's not your fault...lol

An Ado-Ekiti customary court, yesterday, dissolved the 26-year marriage between a bricklayer, James Kayode Oguntuase, 75 and his wife, Felicia, 53, over sexual deprivation.
Oguntuase accused Felicia of denying him sex, adultery, stealing and stubbornness, allegations which she denied.The petitioner told the court that he had caught his wife with 3 different men and that she had aborted three pregnancies for her lovers. He also accused also alleged that his estranged wife stealing N35,000, the money he had saved for the purchase of carpentry materials.

He asked the court for the custody of their 6 children,Caroline, 25; Peter, 23; Akin, 18; Ife, 15; Rachel, 12; and Tolulope, 6 stating that he'd be responsible for their upkeep and everything else.  

However, the wife, in her response, said she denied the petitioner sex on grounds of ill-health, and also denied the allegations of adultery and stealing. She urged the court not to dissolve the union.

Court president, Joseph Ogunsemi, dissolved the union, saying the marriage had broken down as the two parties failed to avail themselves of the opportunity given to settle the dispute amicably.

The court also awarded custody of the children below the age of 18 to the petitioner, while Peter and Akin, who are above 18 are free to decide where to live.

The petitioner was also ordered by the court to arrange for an alternative accommodation for the respondent, the cost of which should not be more than N60,000 and not less than N48,000 per annum.

The court ordered the petitioner to pay two years rent for the new accommodation for the respondent and he is also expected to bear the cost of transporting her luggage to the new place.
The court ordered the respondent to always assist the petitioner in the upkeep of the minor children.

Senate President Bukola Saraki yesterday made two indegenes of Kwara State and their families very happy. The two, Mohammed Abdullahi Tosin from Irepodun L.G.A and Adam Mohammed Ndakuku from Edu L.G.A,  had both graduated First-Class from the University of Ilorin and in appreciation of their hard work, the former governor awarded them N500,000 (each) in scholarship to attend Law School. According to Saraki, the scholarship fund was drawn from his pension as a former Governor of Kwara state. That is so cool!!!

Serena Williams And Sister Venus To Face Off Again At The US Open!!!

Tennis greats, Serena Williams and Venus Williams will meet for the 27th time in their careers and the fifth time at the U.S. Open. Serena is 15-11 against her older sister, including a 6-1 mark over their last seven matches. 

This won’t be the first time the sisters have met at the U.S. Open. Venus and Serena have played four matches in Flushing, with each sister winning two. Venus won her fourth round match against Anett Kontaveit on Sunday and Serena beat Madison Keys, setting up the Williams sisters match up at the quarter final tomorrow.

This should be an exciting game for tennis lovers all over the world!

Olu Of Warri Dies At 70!!!

The Olu of Warri, Godwin Edomi Ogiame Atuwatse II has died. He was 70. The Olu of Warri who became the king of the Itsekiri's in Delta state, in 1987 reportedly died on Friday, the 4th at a hospital in Lagos hospital. He leaves behind his wife, children and grand children. 
May his soul rest in peace (Amen)

Barely 24 hours after her Lagos gig, soul music legend, Lauryn Hill paid a courtesy call on the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s Afrobeat Lounge, the New African Shrine located at Agidingbi area in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Grammy Awards winner was in company of her eight year old daughter, Sarah Marley and other members of her band. The singer was welcomed to the shrine by Afro beat star and son to the legendary Fela,  Seun Kuti who shared the photos on his page.

Paula and Robin may have ended their relationship after 20 years together but when it come to their now five year old son Julian, they know how to put their differences apart and get together as a family. The exes have been seen and pictured together many times together observing their co-parenting arrangement religiously, since their divorce and this past weekend, they were pictured, taking the 5 year old to his football game at a Malibu park. That is so cool....Kudos to them, but I really would have loved for them to work things out and be together...for real, for real....lol. I love them as a couple!
