"There aren't enough words to describe our pain right now" Vanessa wrote in an Instagram post Wednesday evening.
It feels so good to hear from Vanessa Bryant, the wife of NBA Legend, Kobe Bryant. The 37-year old spoke out for the first time since losing Kobe and daughter Gianna in a tragic helicopter crash.
"I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon" she writes, accompanied with a photo of her family’s 2019 Christmas post card. The Instagram post continues with Vanessa thanking the millions of fans around the globe for their love, prayers and support, and stated that her family is 'completely devastated by the sudden loss'. She also announced the formation of a fund to help support the other families who were affected by the crash.
Vanessa has also changed her Instagram profile from private to public, to allow fans access to the many tribute photos of her husband and daughter which gives us all an insight into the bond between the Back Mamba and his little Mambacita.

The iconic NBA player was killed alongside his 13-year old daughter, Gianna and 7 others in a helicopter crash on Sunday in Calabasas,California. The group were on their way to a basketball game at Kobe's Mamba Sports Academy where Gianna was a budding basketball star.
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant were married in 2001 and together, they have four beautiful daughters. Their oldest Natalia is 17 and their youngest is Capri is 7-months old. They also have a 3-year old, Bianka.
Other victims of the crash were identified by the Los Angeles County corona's office as pilot Ara Zobayan; Orange Coast College baseball coach John Altobelli; Altobelli's wife Keri and daughter Alyssa Altobelli; Sarah Chester and 13-year old daughter Payton; and Christina Mauser who was Kobe's assistant coach with Mamba's girls basketball team.
Our hearts go out to Vanessa and the families of the victims as they go through this difficult time.
