27-year old Olympic medalist, Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to five years in prison for the death of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp whom he reportedly killed on Valentine's day. The double amputee athlete was found guilty of culpable homicide last month by judge Thokozile Masipa which in South Africa means a person was killed unintentionally but unlawfully.
The Steenkamp family's lawyer Dup De Bruyn said in a statement....
"The family is satisfied. They are glad that it is over and are satisfied that justice has been done"
