35 year old Kevin Roper was the driver of the truck that hit and injured Saturday Night Live star, Tracy Morgan. A criminal complaint filed in the case reveals that Roper had been awake for more than 24 hours before the accident occurred.
The wreck took place at 1AM Saturday when the limo bus Morgan was in, was hit by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey turnpike. The crash killed Morgan's fellow passenger, comedian James McNair who performed under the name, Jimmy Mack.

Comedian Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton were among the injured as well as a man named Jeffrey Millea.
Morgan suffered several injuries, including broken ribs, broken nose, a broken leg and a broken femur.He underwent surgery on Sunday and he is expected to spend several weeks in the hospital.
The truck driver charged in the crash turned himself in to the police and was released on $50.000. bail on Saturday night. He was a driver for Walmart.
"This is a tragedy and we are profoundly sorry that one of our trucks was involved" Bill Simon, president and CEO of Walmart US said in a statement.
"The facts are continuing to unfold. If it's determined that our truck caused the accident, Walmart will take full responsibility"

Morgan performed a comedy act Friday night at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware, the venue said.
Morgans family is reportedly tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the out pouring of love and support from his fans.....
