Miriam Ibrahaim: The Sudaness Woman Sentenced To Death For Apostasy Might Not Have To Die After All!!!

We first reported the news about the pregnant Sudanese woman sentenced to death by hanging for 'Apostasy'..the act of abandoning Islam and marrying a Christian. Well, there seem to be some good news....

On her wedding day.....

The 27 year old medical doctor and mother of two, Miriam Ibrahim who, refused to renounce her Christian faith and was condemned to death by hanging might  free death row......All Glory To God, Almighty!!!

Sudan's foreign ministry says that she will be freed "within days". The Ministry's spokesperson, Abdullah Al-Razaq announced the development late Saturday in Khartoum following the world wide protest about her treatment. According to him, Sudan guaranteed religious freedom and was committed to protecting the woman....

Miriam gave birth to a her daughter, Maya in her prison cell about a week ago (Wednesday) where she's awaiting her execution. This is the second child from her marriage to Daniel Wani, a US citizen. Both children are incarcerated with their mother.

Husband, Daniel Wani holds his new born baby girl, Maya.....

The court had earlier ruled that Ms. Ibrahim would only be allowed to nurse her baby for two years before the sentenced was carried out. They also annulled her marriage and sentenced her to 100 lashes for adultery because the union was not considered valid by Shari'a Law.....

Even though Sudan's 2005 constitution guarantees the right to freedom of worship, in practice, the government enforces a form of Islamic law. We pray and hope that her rights are respected as the spokesman mentioned, so she can continue to live her life with her lovely family!!!
