In one incident a man was shot dead and four wounded at an overnight gathering at Monalizza Restaurant and Banquet Hall in the 1100 Block of Vermont Ave. Police has reported.
In a separate incident, a man was stabbed at a BET Awards pre-show party on Saturday night at Lure Night Club in Hollywood. The stabbing happened inside the Club located at 1300 block of Ivar Ave.
The security officer inside the Club told CBS Los Angeles that chart-topping rapper, 'The Game' was among those attending the party when the stabbing took place....He was not injured.
While organizers of these parties touted both gatherings as BET Awards pre-party, Police, have confirmed that neither event was officially sanctioned by the Award show.....
It is however unclear whether both incidents were gang-related, but it is under investigation and no arrest has been made in either case. The names of the victims have not been released either.....
The award is taking place tonight at the Nokia Theater in downtown, Los Angeles!!!!
All of theses violence is just not necessary....My goodness!!!! I just hope everyone stays safe tonight!
