The red carpet at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles California was on Sunday, June 29th, parked with some of the biggest stars from stage and screen to honor the 2014 BET Awards. With stars like Nicki Minaj, Tatyana Ali, Keke Palmer Ashanti, Kenya Moore, John Legend, Tiwa Savage, Nadia Buari and more on the red carpet. Not only was the red carpet covered in whites by designer Michael Costello, "Major Cleavage & Hip bones baring" seem to be the theme of the day with the ladies....lol
106 and Park host, Shad Moss aka Bow Wow and Keisha Chante hosted the red carpet pre-show. They both looked fabulous. Bow Wow was dashing in a white long sleeve Oxford, bow tie with vest and Chante sparkled in separate, a gold sequined crop top with matching skirt ..... OMG!!!! One person was killed and at least five others wounded when violence unfolded at two different BET awards pre-show parties this weekend in Los Angeles.....
In one incident a man was shot dead and four wounded at an overnight gathering at Monalizza Restaurant and Banquet Hall in the 1100 Block of Vermont Ave. Police has reported.
In a separate incident, a man was stabbed at a BET Awards pre-show party on Saturday night at Lure NightClub in Hollywood. The stabbing happened inside the Club located at 1300 block of Ivar Ave.
The security officer inside the Club told CBS Los Angeles that chart-topping rapper, 'The Game' was among those attending the party when the stabbing took place....He was not injured.
While organizers of these parties touted both gatherings as BET Awards pre-party, Police, have confirmed that neither event was officially sanctioned by the Award show.....
It is however unclear whether both incidents were gang-related, but it is under investigation and no arrest has been made in either case. The names of the victims have not been released either.....
The award is taking place tonight at the Nokia Theater in downtown, Los Angeles!!!!

Nigerian singer, Charly Boy is a man of his word. Earlier in May when his father, Justice Chukwudifo Oputa passed, the 64 year old warned against politicians turning his father's burial to a political rally. Turns out, that was exactly what happened last Wednesday. Charly stormed out with his family and friends during a colloquium organized in honor of his late dad by the Imo State government.
Speaking with journalist in Owerri, the 'area father' said he had to get out of the venue because, Governor Okorocha was trying to use his father's burial to score some cheap political points. He said In-pite of his warnings that the burial should not be politicized, Governor Okoracha and members of his political party wanted to turn the event into an APC (All Progressive Congress) rally, and he wasn't going to be a part of that.

The event tagged 'Day Of Tributes To For Late Oputa' was held at the newly built International Conference Center in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.
Governor Rocha Okorocha of Imo State, and his deputy, Eze Madumare as well as dignitaries like, Senator Chris Ngige, APC's national chairman, Odigie Oyegun, former deputy governor of Imo State, Dr, Douglas Acholonu and many more were in attendance at the fancy event.
Everything was going smoothly until, the master of ceremony announced that the next speaker would be the national chairman of APC, Odigie Oyegun. No sooner had the APC boss mounted the podium than a very angry Charly Boy complained about his father's funeral being turned into a political event. He got up off his seat and stormed out of the event with his family and entourage.....

The Judiciary Icon, Hon. Justice Chukwudifo Akunne Oputa, was an incorruptible judge known by his colleagues as the "Socrates of the Supreme Court". He was the "Hero" of the bench who was also well remembered by many as the social and human rights activist who became Chairman of the National Human Rights Violation Commission (known as the Oputa Panel)....A position he held for many years. The legal philosopher died at the ripe age of 96 last May...May his humble soul rest in peace!!!

Major shake ups today!......There has been several reports this morning about big changes to ABC's "TheView". Sources says Sheri Shepherd is out. So is Jenny McCarthy.
Producers and people close to Ms Shepherd told CNN on Thursday, they have known for months that Sheri was ready to go. They added that she kept it quiet because she didn't want to upstage or disrupt Barbara Walter's retirement...
Walters bid farewell to "The View" last month, although she will still serve as the show's executive producer...
Co-host, Jenny tweeted Thursday a hint that she is leaving the talk show...... "If Sheri goes....I go too # sisters" She added, "My view will be changing too. As with many hard working folks..Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year"

Barely 24 hours after her released from death-row, Meriam Ibrahim have been reportedly re-arrested in Sudan. Meriam is being detained along with her husband and two children. They were picked up by officials while they were trying to board a flight out of Sudan.....
Meriam was sentenced to death last month for abandoning Islam and converting to Christianity. The then pregnant Meriam gave birth to a baby girl in jail while she was awaiting her execution, but a global outcry led to her release about 24 hour ago.....
The Sudanese authority have not given any reason for the re-arrest!

Her death penalty was overturned by an appeal court, the official Suna news agency has reported.
Merian who is married to a Christian was sentenced under 'Shariah' law to death, for turning away from Islam and refusing to renounce her Christian faith.
Her husband, a US citizen said he is looking forward to seeing her and can't wait to get his family out of Sudan.
"We are very happy about this, and we're going to her now" Mrs Ibrahim's lawyer, Elshareef Ali told BBC. "They have released her, she's on her way home" He also said that Mrs Ibrahim had shown "extraordinary" courage during her ordeal.
"It's a victory for freedom of religion in Sudan, by Meriam's strong position, we believe that in the future, no one would be subjected to such a trial" he said
Over a million people took action showing the Sudan authorities that people around the world were outraged by Meriam's ordeal, at the end, common sense prevailed...thank you Lord!

An online petition has already drawn 20,000 signature to remove referee Peter O'Leary from the world cup after an image appeared of him 'celebrating' with Nigerian goal keeper, Vincent Enyeama.
The New Zealand referee drew widespread criticism after disallowing an Edin Dzeko strike after 21 minutes. Eight minutes later, Peter Osaze Odemwingie fired the Super Eagle's in front, but Emmanuel Emenike appeared to clip the heels of Emir Spahic in the build up. That went unpunished and the appearance of the picture has prompted a Bosnia fan to send a petition to FIFA asking for the removal of O'Leary and the match result be changed to 1-1.

When asked what happened in the game, he said: "The referee happened"...... "We are going home, we are sad because of that, but the referee should go home too, because he changed the result, he changed the game and that's why we lost" "We tried to come back after the goal, where there was obviously a foul on our captain and before when i scored a goal it was not offside. President Goddluck as appointed Mrs Roli Bode-George as the boss-lady of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (N.D.L.E.A).
The appointment was anounced by Presidential spokesperson, Mr. Reuben Abati. Mrs Bode George takes over from Mr. Olufemi Ajayi, who is now the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (P.T.D.F). The appointment is with immediate effect.
There has been a lot of backlash on the Nigerian government for this appointment has many Nigerians took to social media to express their disapproval and disappointment on the Jonathan led administration.
Roli's husband, Chief Bode George was arrested and jailed for fraud and abuse of office when he served as Chairman of the Nigerian Port Authority, but his conviction was later upturn by the Supreme Court.
