The headquarter of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Wuse Zone 7 District, Abuja was gutted with fire yesterday, the 20th of August, 2014. The cause of the fire was unknown at the time but the Federation's spokesperson, Ademola Olajire confirmed the incident. Mr Olajire said the fire started on the third floor of the building.

All though not much was revealed at the time but it is believed that the office of the president, secretary and as well as the accounting department of the NFF was affected. The fire service officials who helped to put the fire out suspects electrical faults.
It will be recalled that NFF as been in the news lately, enmeshed in a leadership tussle with Aminu Maigari and Mike Umeh laying claims to the chairmanship of the football organization....
