After months of speculations, it appears that Governor Mimiko of Ondo State has finally decided to turn his back on his Labour Party (LP), a party he had sustained as it's only governor and national leader since 2006....

Mr governor made his intention to join the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) known during series of meetings with his cabinet and close political associate on Friday at the government House in Akure.
Speaking on this development, the State's Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, said the move was due to "serious pressure" from the leadership of PDP before and after the just concluded Osun governorship election....
According to Vanguard, Dr. Mimiko is still consulting with stakeholders across the Country on this move.."For now the governor is still in Labour Party,even if he will eventually move, he cannot take a unilateral decision on this matter"...It states!
