Public Raises Over $70,000 For Woman Fired After Giving The Middle Finger To Donald Trump!!!
Earlier this month it was revealed that Julie Briskman, the cyclist who went viral after sticking her middle finger up at Donald Trump's motorcade, had lost her job due to the protest. The 50-year-old mother-of-two had been working for for government contractor Akima LLC , who didn't take kindly to the attention she had brought on herself and the company.
The internet has subsequently stepped in and stepped up for Briskman and a GoFundMe was promptly launched to help her out. The account was set up on November 6th, 2017 by Rob Mello who was inspired by what Julie did.
The GoFundMe campaign which had a goal of $100.000 is currently at over $70.000. The description for the campaign read:
Julie Briskman is an inspiration to us all. This week we learned that she was fired from her employer for exercising her first amendment right"
"Thank you, Juli Briskman" Rob Mello wrote.
Julie Briskman was captured on her bike giving the President's motorcade the middle finger on October 28th as the president left the Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia. Three days later the marketing executive was fired by her company.
