Ondo State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ali Olanusi has been reportedly impeached. Olanusi who was found guilty of seven impeachable offenses of gross misconduct was sent packing by 24 out of the 26 Ondo State House of Assembly members that were present at the plenary, including the speaker of the House, Jumoke Akindele, who has given directive that.....
"all the government properties in possession of the deputy governor be handed over to the Permanent Secretary in the office of the Deputy Governor"....ouch!

Following the announcement of the impeachment this morning, the Governor of the State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has appointed the State's Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Lasisi Oluboyo as the new Deputy Governor.
The impeachment of the Olanusi was moved by the Majority Leader, Ifedayo Akinsoyinu from Ondo West 11 and seconded by Olatunji Dauro from Owo 11.
Congratulations to the new DG. And we wish the former DG well....
