Actress Halle Berry's  flawlessly chiseled abs is a fitness goal. The 53-year old totally broke the internet when she shared a photo, flaunting her her rock solid abs in honor of #FitnessFriday.

Halle has always been in great shape but this time, she pushed herself to the limit and was excited to share the result when she hit her latest fitness goal---an absolutely ripped abs.
Sharing s stunning post workout photo, the John Wick chapter 3 star revealed that she was training for a movie, "Bruised", which she's directing and starring in, where she plays a mixed martial arts fighter. The actress needed some perfectly ripped abs to play the role, and she "finally got them". The lovely actress, then challenged us all to set our goals and reach for them........

Academy Disqualifies's LionHeart Movie From Oscar Consideration, Genevieve Nnaji Reacts!!!!

Sadly, Nigeria's Oscar hopes are dashed as the country's first ever submission in the best International Feature Film category was disqualified from the Oscar race by the Academy. The film, "LionHeart" was made by actress-turned-director, Genevieve Nnaji. The Netflix original production in which Nnaji also stars, is partially in the Igbo language of Nigeria. But it is mostly in English which violates an Academy rules that entries in this category must have "a predominantly non English dialogue track".
According to the Academy, 95minutes LionHeart movie only had about 11minutes of Igbo language, making it ineligible...….But duhhhhh! English is Nigeria's official language!

Genevieve has since reacted to the news. As always, it was a classy response from the screen goddess. In her response, the actress said the film represent how Nigerians communicate and we all agree.
Give me a break, Academy! Please, come up with something else...…WE ARE NOT BUYING THIS.

Singer Solange has announced that she and her music director husband, Alan Ferguson have split. In fact according to the 33-year old, the couple have already been separated for several months. Solange revealed their decision to call it quit on Instagram in a post about spiritual growth.
They two got tied the knot in a dreamy New Orleans wedding in 2014 in the presence of a 100 of their closest friends and family, with big sister Beyoncé and husband, Jay Z in attendance. They have been together for a total of 11-years.

2 People Accuse Katy Perry of Sexual Misconduct!!!

OMG! Is Katy Perry a sexual predator? Two people in four days have accused the singer of sexual misconduct, including the actor who starred opposite the pop star in her "Teenage Dream" music video. 
It was "one of the most confusing, assaulting, and belittling jobs I've ever done," Josh Kloss wrote Sunday on Instagram, adding that Perry "called the act of kissing me 'gross' to the entire set" in 2010. 
But according to him, the the worst came two years later, when Kloss saw the woman who was "still my crush" at a birthday party for Perry's stylist, Johnny Wujek. "As I turned to introduce my friend, she pulled my Adidas sweats and underwear out as far as she could to show a couple of her guy friends and the crowd around us, my penis. Can you imagine how pathetic and embarrassed I felt?" Kloss wrote, adding he was "treated like a prostitute."

A Nigerian Man Arrested For Murder Of Missing Utah College Student !!!

Ayoola Adisa Ajayi of Salt Lake City, whose home at Fairpark was searched for the passed two days in the case of missing Utah College student, MacKenzie Lueck, has been arrested for aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping, desecration of body and obstruction of justice.

The 31-year old was apprehended by a police SWAT team on Friday morning at the Parkside Condominium Complex at 1000 S. West Temple. And here is what we know about him.

U.N. Definitive Stamp Pays Tribute To Kofi Annan!!!

The United Nations Postal Administration is honoring former Secretary-General Kofi Annan on a stamp that was issued May 31.

The $1.30 definitive (regular-issue) stamp is for use from the post office at U.N. headquarters in New York City.

A first-day ceremony took place at the American Stamp 

Dealers Association’s spring stamp show at the Watson Hotel, 440 W. 57th St., New York, N.Y. The ceremony began at noon. The show runs through June 2.

Designed by Rorie Katz of UNPA, the stamp depicts a portrait of Annan by artist and engraver Martin Morck. It also includes a quote from the diplomat: “To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there.”

Olowo of Owo, Oba Victor Olateru-Olagbegi dies at 77!

The traditional ruler of Owo kingdom in Ondo state, Oba Victor Folagbade Olateru-Olagbegi, has reportedly died at the age of 77. According to multiple outlets, the monarch passed on to greater glory last night, April 16th, 2019. 
The late monarch was installed in 1999 by the Owo kingmakers but was given the staff of office by the late governor Olusegun Agagu on December 11, 2003. He was a lawyer and received his first degree in law from London, UK and attended Nigeria Law school, in 1968 before practicing Law under the tutelage of late Fatai Williams and rose to the peak of his career as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
He was appointed Chancellor of the University of Benin in 2005 and later, University of Abuja. He was serving as the Chancellor of the University of Jos until his death last night. The respected monarch is survived by his wife, Ololade Olateru-Olagbegi, a barrister and law lecturer at Ondo State University, and children. May his soul rest in peace. Amen

Franch Billionaires Steps Up As France's President Vows To Rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral After Devastating Fire!!!

On Monday night, massive blaze devastated large part and threatened to completely destroy 850-year old Notre Dame Cathedral, in Paris. Folks around the world, particularly the Catholic community watched in horror the video of the iconic spire at the top of the historic cathedral collapses.

Although firefighters were able to stop the fire, the cathedral's landmark still suffered a colossal damage. Amazingly, there were no deaths or injuries confirmed. And the authorities have ruled out arson and possible terror related motives. They are treating the blaze as an accident.

France president Emmanuel Macron lamented the loss via a tweet when he wrote.....“Notre Dame of Paris in flames. Emotion for a whole nation. Thoughts for all Catholics and for all French. Like all our countrymen, I’m sad tonight to see this part of us burn.”

Wendy Finally Files For Divorce And Now Looking For A New Place To Live!!!

After years of alleged  physical, mental and emotional abuse, Talk Show Host, Wendy Williams, finally finds the courage to say "I have had enough" and we applaud her for it. According to court document filed in Essex County, New Jersey, the 54-year old and husband, Kevin Hunter are splitting for "irreconcilable differences" . The split comes amid renewed rumors that Hunter has been cheating on Williams with a woman named Sharina Hudson, who gave birth to a baby suspected to be Hunter’s last month.  Hunter was served with the divorce papers at 6.30am on Thursday, April, 11th.

The divorce news came after Wendy notably flaunted her lack of a wedding ring early Thursday. Rumors of infidelity has plagued the couple for many years, though William never confirmed them but she vaguely addressed her marital woes on her show earlier this year. cryptically telling viewers after her return from a two month hiatus that her wedding would always stay on her hand.

 “I’m still very much in love with my husband,” she said. “Don’t ask me about mine.” Pointing to her wedding ring, Williams added, “It ain’t going anywhere. Not in this lifetime.” 

Oh well, I guess her ring apparently did go somewhere. Williams and Hunter met at a skating rink in 1994, tied the knot three years later and welcomed their son, 19-year-old Kevin Hunter Jr., in 2000.

We applaud you Wendy, no woman should ever be with a man who sucks life out of them. This relationship has been toxic for years. You totally deserve better. Keep your head up.

Music and Tears as Slain Rapper, Nipsey Hussle Is ‘Sent Off Like a King’ With A Presidential Honor!!!

About 21, 000 people gathered in Los Angeles, Staple Center  today for a 'Victory Lap' funeral in honor of Grammy award nominated rapper, Nipsey Hussle. The 33-year old , whose real name is Ermias Joseph Asghedom was shot multiple times on March, 31st in the parking lot of his store, Marathon Clothing in South Los Angeles. 

The bittersweet memorial to this local hero melded deeply emotional tributes with arena-filling musical interludes from his debut album.

“This is a celebration. The marathon continues,” shouted DJ Battlecat over the loudspeaker before the beginning of the service at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, which included Hussle’s family along with prominent figures like Stevie Wonder, Anthony Hamilton, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z and wife, Beyonce,  Meek Mill, Louis Farrakhan and YG.

Before the service began, Hussle’s voice boomed from the speakers and thousands of fans sprung to their feet to sing along, the bass shaking the ground, giving the event the feel of a concert.

The majority of mourners at the event were African-American and Latino, largely in their 20s and 30s, many wearing the famous “Crenshaw” shirts that were sold in Hussle’s store. Members of the Eritrean community wore traditional clothing, some adorned with national flags.

Before performing at the funeral, the musician Stevie Wonder called for stronger gun regulations. People nodded along in the audience as he spoke.

“It is a heartbreak to again lose a member of our family. It is a heartbreak because it’s so unnecessary,” he said. “It is so painful to know that we don’t have enough people taking a position that says: Listen, we must have stronger gun laws.”

After his remarks he performed the song “Tears in Heaven.”

In a tribute, Snoop Dogg said that he and Hussle were drawn to each other like magnets. He said that other up-and-coming artists often promise that “I’ll make you a million dollars.” Not Hussle; he knew his talent was about more than money: “He was a visionary.”

“Nipsey’s line was, ‘Hey homey, listen to my music, just give it a listen,’” Snoop Dogg recounted. “I didn’t grow up with Nip, in the neighborhood, but I watched him grow up in front of me.”

He praised Hussle for the unifying role he played in a culture sometimes marred by gang violence. “We’re going to respect another man from another neighborhood when he comes from where we come from,” Snoop Dogg said. “You are a peace advocate, Nip. That’s what you are.”

The service all but stopped the hip-hop world on Thursday. While some West Coast rappers took the stage to speak about Hussle’s life and enduring message, others sent their own emotional condolences. 
Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation managed Hussle in recent years, wrote in a statement printed for the funeral goers: “You were a curious soul who was evolving at a speed that was truly inspiring. The seeds you have planted are already bearing fruit.”

President Barack Obama sent a letter praising Hussle, which Karen Civil, a hip-hop media personality, read at the service. The former president said that he had heard Hussle’s music through his daughters.

“While most people look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets and despair, Nipsey saw potential,” the former president wrote. “He saw hope. He saw a community that even through its flaws taught him to always keep going.”

#BlackExcellence: Identical Twins Are Valedictorian And Salutatorian Of Their High School!!!

This is the type of news we need to hear more of.
Identical twins, Deontae and Deontrea Wrights are leading the way at their Toledo Ohio, Scots High School senior class this year. With a 4.5GPA, Deontae is the Valedictorian while Deontrae is right behind him as the Salutatorian with a GPA of 4.4.  It's the same in school as in life. Deontae was born first.

"We both like to compete against each other," says Deontrae. "We want to score higher than each other."
"It feels awesome knowing that I put in the hard work and got something out of it," he says. "It feels great at the end of the day."

The young men secured full rides to The Ohio State University to study electrical engineering. They say they want to minor in business and start their own electrical engineering firm once they graduate.

In addition to their high achievements in school, both of them hold two jobs and have more than 70 hours of community service. They say giving back makes them feel good, and changes the community.

Naomi Osaka Signs With Nike

Nike has announced endorsement deal with reigning tennis champ,  Noami Osaka. What that means is, the lovely Japanese born tennis player who had previously been tied to rival Adidas, will now be trading in her Adidas for Nike outfit.

The World #1 will be rocking Nike gear for the first time at the Stuttgart Grand Prix later this month.

Responding to the news, Osaka said in a statement.....

GLAAD's Media Awards, which celebrates those who have made a significant difference promoting acceptance of LGBT people went down on Thursday, the 28th of March in Los Angeles.
The Carters, Jay Z and Beyonce Knowles-Carter were recipients of the Vanguard Award at this year's 30th Annual Ceremony.

During their acceptance speeches, the couple mentioned family members who are a part of the LGBT community. While Jay Z gave a shout out to his mom, wife, Beyonce dedicated her award to the memory of her late uncle, who died from complications from HIV.  She proudly referred to him as the "most fabulous gay man" she ever knew.

10-Year-Old Houston Boy Commits Suicide Over Relentless Bullying!!!

This is a real sad one!!!

10Year old Kevin Reese Jr of Houston,TX  has killed himself in what his mother called "relentless bullying". 
Kevin was a 5th grader at Robinson Elementary School outside of Houston who loved to draw and paint. According to the child's mom, Crystal Smith, he had been struggling due to bullying he suffered from school but she never knew that he would take it this far. She said:
 "I never thought he would go this far never. I'm still in disbelief and it's taking me a while to actually accept the fact that this happened."
 

Kevin was discovered in the closet by his 13-year old sister. Crystal described her son as her "little goof troop" .......

Nigeria's Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi Named 2019 Commonwealth Young Person Of The Year!!!

 This is what the future looks like and it's major for us all. A young Nigerian, Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi  was yesterday named the winner of the Commonwealth Young Person of the Year 2019.

The 28-year old is the founder of Stand To End Rape - S T E R Initiatives and was recognized at the event which went down at the Marlborough House, the Commonwealth Secretariat's London headquarters. 

Osowobi, a survival of sexual violence, set up S T E R Initiatives to provide support to women, men and young people who have experienced any form of gender based abuse. The young lady shared her excitement about her win on her social media account. Sharing a tweet from Commonwealth Youth, she wrote.....

"Guys!!!! I am the 2019 Commonwealth Young Person Of The Year!!! I Cannot believe It!

Chance was in a white Tuxedo with a black tie for the ceremony while his gorgeous bride rocked a stunning white strapless gown as they both say "I do" in front of 150 close friends and relatives, including their little daughter, Kensli.

Meghan Markle Marks International Women’s Day By Joining A Discussion Panel Convened By The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust!!!

Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle joined a discussion panel by the Queen's Common Wealth Trust on Friday, uniting with leading feminists and national figures to mark International Women's day. At the event, hosted at King's College, London, the group chatted about the positive opportunities that comes when women are given wider access and equal opportunities.
Meghan became Vice President of the Trust after marrying Harry, (Harry is the President). 
The organization, which was set up to champion, fund and connect young leaders around the world, saw. Meghan speaking passionately on the panel, and revealed countless insights into her thoughts on feminism as well as her thoughts on recent headlines about her, and her changing views on social media.

It's one of her biggest night and the "A Star Is Born" actress arrived the 2019 Academy Awards oozing old Hollywood in a black Alexander McQueen gown, matching gloves and a Tiffany Yellow diamond valued at more than $30-million. The 128.54 carat Tifanny diamond was once worn by Audrey Hepburn for her Breakfast at Tiffany's publicity photos in 1961. Gaga styled her hair in Holy Golightly-esque up-do....she was really doing the Oscar version of Hepburn's iconic Breakfast at Tiffany's look.

Regina King Wins Her First Ever Oscar!!!

Regina King took home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress Sunday night for her work in Barry Jenkins’ James Baldwin adaptation “If Beale Street Could Talk” This marks the first nomination and first win for the actress, who achieved mainstream notoriety in 1996 for her comedic turn as Marcy Tidwell in “Jerry Maguire.” King’s Oscar will join her Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for the same role, as well as her three Emmys for her work in “American Crime” and “Seven Seconds.” The 48-year old's mom was her date for the night.

Meghan Markle Spotted In New York Ahead Of Her Baby Shower!!!

Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle is in New York City for her baby shower. The mom to be was spotted making an appearance ahead of her baby shower outside The Mark Hotel, located in Manhattan's Upper East Side. The Duchess rocked a monochrome look consisting of a black textured coat, black skinny jeans, nude pumps, neutral tote bag by Carolina Herrera and oversize sunglasses by Le Specs.
Meghan can be seen clutching her bump as she set out to have lunch withe her former Suit's co star, Abigail Spencer first, before her baby shower which will take place sometimes tonight.

The Duchess flew in from London on Friday, and she is set to fly back to London tomorrow morning. Meghan is set to welcome her and Prince Harry's first child in less than two months. We wish her well.

Legendary Fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld Dies At 85!!!

Fashion industry's heavy weights as well as Hollywood celebrities are mourning the death of  one of the most prolific figures in the world of fashion, the legendary Karl Lagerfield. 
The iconic German fashion designer who brought so much luxury and elegance to the red carpet died Tuesday morning after being admitted to a Paris hospital the night before. He was 85 years old.
'Until his death, Lagerfield, was the creative director for Chanel and Fendi. His signature ponytail and dark glasses made him an instant recognizable figure around the world. He was simply put, The Emperor of Fashion and as designer, he transformed the fortune of Chanel. one of the leading names in high end fashion.  He will be missed.
