Hollywood's postal boy for bachelor-dom, George Clooney is officially off the market. The 52 year old actor is engaged to his beautiful British lawyer-humanitarian girlfriend of seven months, Amal Alamuddin. The two-time Oscar winner was once married before. He married actress Talia Balsam in 1989 and the couple divorced in 1993. He was quoted as saying back then that he will never get married again.....I guess, NEVER SAY NEVER....

Confirming their engagement, Clooney's dad, Nicolas Clooney told The News in a phone interview....."It is true and we are thrilled. We think Amal is a wonderful girl, and it's a wonderful news. We think it will be a great marriage. This is their time, and they will have their own announcement to make, but suffix it to say, Nina(Clooney's mum) and I are thrilled"

Also, Amal's British law firm released a celebratory statement on Monday, saying...."The barristers and staff of Doughty Street chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married"
