Orange Coast College baseball coaching legend, John Altobelli, his wife, Karen and daughter, Alyssa were among the victims in the crash that killed former NBA player, Kobe Bryant.
56-Year old Altobelli better known as Coach Alto was a coach at OCC for 27-years, leading the pirates to four states titles and notching more than 700 wins. He was friends with Kobe. His daughter, Alyssa played on the club team with Gianna. They had flown several times together in the past......Oh dear God! This doesn't make sense but God knows best

Altobelli is survived by his son, JJ a scout for Boston Red Sox, and daughter, Alexis. Our heart felt condolences to them and the rest of his family and loved ones.
