It's truly a sad day for sports and entertainment world. Basketball great, Kobi Bryant, one of the most magnificent athletes on planet earth, was tragically killed Sunday morning when his private helicopter, a Sikorsky S-76B crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, killing all nine passengers on board.
The 41-year old NBA legend was traveling to a basketball game with his 13-year old daughter, Gianna, an emerging basketball star in her own right. They were headed to the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand, one of the premiere sport complexes in the area that Bryant built. Gianna was going to play and Kobe was going to coach.......Oh, sad! sad! sad!

Kobe, played his professional career with the Los Angeles Lakers for 20-years and won 5 NBA championships. He had two Olympic medals for basketball and also won an Oscar in 2018 for "Dear Basketball", the animated short film that he wrote and produced. Kobe has always been known to have a love for helicopters and would always take his chopper, adorned in his logo to work.
Gianna Marie Onore Bryant was Kobe's second daughter with his wife of 20-years, Vanessa. He had 3 other girls, 17-year old Natalia, Bianka, 3, and 7-months old Capri.
Gianna began exhibiting her love for basketball at a very early age. She inherited her father's style and talents, and wanted to play in the WNBA. Kobe saw her as the heir to his legacy and began grooming her take up the touch. Sadly, that dream will never materialize. And we will never know how far his little 'Mambacita' would have gone. Our hearts bleed for Vanessa and we send prayers up to heaven for strength and comfort.
Damn! The world has lost a rare gem. Go with God Mamba and Mambacita. You left an indelible mark and the world misses you already. Our hearts go out to your lovely wife and kids, your parent and loved ones. May your souls rest in heavenly peace. Amen
