Only a few days ago, a Lagos High Court banned the FG from deploying soldiers to voting centers during the elections. Justice Ibrahim Buba who made the ruling, said that it's unconstitutional to deploy army for the regulation of poll purposes without the support of the National Assembly. PDP and FG have long advocated for the use of soldiers at the polling booths, but APC including presidential candidate, Gen. Mohamadu Buhari have kicked against it, calling it undemocratic.
However, despite court injunction, there have been lots of army officers deployed across the Country, with more and more groups being sighted in Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory in the past few days. This action is eliciting mixed feelings among residents who took to twitter to report what they have seen and express their feelings. One twitter wondered why they (army officers) didn't come out when Boko Haram was killing citizens.
