Fuel Scarcity Hit Lagos Again!!!

Na wa o....It seem like it's the norm these days, that every festive period, particularly around Christmas holidays, there is got to be shortage of gas in major cities in Nigeria. When is the government going to do something about this?.....(wrong question)! The government doesn't care.

Reports coming in from Ikeja, Abula-Egba, Ojota and other areas of Lagos confirmed this. As always, the management of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and it's downstream subsidiaries, the Pipeline and Products Marketing Company(PPMC) has quickly dismissed the reports. In a statement by it's Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ohi Alegbe, NNPC said it;s downstream subsidiaries PPMC, has over 32-days sufficiency of PMS, adding that 17 additional PMS laden vessels had arrived Lagos port. So what in the world is causing the long queue? NNPC calls the noticeable queues around Lagos "panic buying"....What is that?

Check out photos of people queuing up for gas after the jump!!!

This is the wrong time of the year for this!
