The Senate has approved the $1 billion loan (=N=165b) loan requested by President Goodluck Jonathan in July to help in the fight against terrorism and tackle insecurity in the Country. The loan would be used for the purchase of military equipment and the training of military personnel.
The approved loan will be in addition to the (=N=968.127b) voted for Defense in the 2014 budget by the federal government.
I hope to God that the fund will be used for the purpose for which it was approved!!!
