George Bush, the 41st President of the United States, and the father of George Bush, 43 died overnight at his home in Houston, TX, surrounded by family and friends. He was 94. His death comes a little over 7-months of the passing of his wife of 73-years, former first lady, Barbara Bush who passed in April at the age of 92.
The former President had a form of Parkinson's disease that forced him to use a wheelchair or motorized scooter in recent years and he had been in and out of the hospital as his health declined.

Bush, a war hero, was the last veteran of World War II to serve as President. He was a consummate public servant and a statesman who helped guide the nation and the world out of a four decade cold war that had carried the threat of nuclear annihilation. His was a life of tremendous accomplishments.

Prior to assuming the Presidency, he served as the 43rs Vice President of the United States from 1981 to 1989. He had previously been a representative, Ambassador and Director of Central Intelligence. During his career in public service, he was known simply as George Bush.
