Authorities are yet to determine the cause of fire that burnt an Aircraft belonging to Overland Airways, one of the indigeneous carriers at the Muritala Mohammed Airport in Lagos Nigeria.
The Aircraft was parked at the hanger located at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) of the Airport at the time of the incident.
The Director of Operations, FAAN, Captain Rabiu and NCAA CPD terminal head of GAT, Mr. Banjo has reportedly met with Overland Executive Director, Mrs Aduke Atiba with promise to begin a full fledged investigation into the matter.
The aircraft was said to have gone into flames while it was connected to the group Ground Power Unit (GPU) of the Airport. destroying millions of dollar worth of equipment but thankfully there were no casualties.
