Why Vili Fualaau Split From Mary Kay Letourneau, Who ‘Courted’ Him Since He Was 12 Years Old!!!

Villi Fualaau and Mary Letourneau's love story which captivated national audiences and ended up on the silver screen is sadly coming to an end. Mary Kay Fualaau formerly Letourneau was a 34-year old married school teacher and a mother of four in a Seattle middle school when she began a love affair with Fualaau, her 13-year old student. Letourneau gave birth to her young lover's daughter before going to serve more than seven years in prison for charges related to their sexual relationship.
Soon after she was released from prison in 2005, the pair got married in Woodinville, Washington.

 It's really not clear what led Fualaau to file the petition, but the petition was filed in King County Superior Court in Washington on May 9th. In the filling, Vili who had two girls with his wife says that since the children are no longer dependent, jurisdiction over the children does apply. Their youngest daughter is 18-years old, meaning that Fualaau, 33 and Letourneau, 55 are empty nesters and the marriage fell apart.
