Only last month it was widely reported that Hip Hop Queen, Mary J Blige and her husband of 12-years, Martin "Kendu" Isaacs were calling it quit. Not much was heard from both parties until yesterday when TMZ broke the news that Kendu was going in for the money....Yes, Kendu is reportedly asking for spousal support to help him continue in the lifestyle he has become accustomed to....Really dude? Bye!!!
According to the news site, Kendu filed the documents asking for spousal support and also asking for MJB to pay his legal fees......Ok ladies, this is definitely the type of guy mama warned about!
The two tied the knot in December of 2003 with no pre-nup. The singer was quiet about her marriage but always praised Kendu for helping her deal with some of her past demons.....
"We met when I hated men, after I met him, everything changed in my life" she said to Parade in 2007.
"He was the first person to ever challenged what i did 'Why are you drinking?' Why do you hate yourself? You don't need to be around people who tear you down, 'You are beautiful, Mary' He was the first man to ever tell me that"
Mary who is currently prepping for her world tour is fighting is fighting Kendu's request and we wish her well.
My thoughts? 'Ole boy, needs to go get a 'gaddam' job and leave my girl alone.....lol
