Forbes annual list of 100 Most Powerful Women in the world is out and two Nigerians, Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and billionaire oil tycoon, Mrs Folusho Alakija made the list, alongside Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Oprah Winfrey, Hilary Clinton, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Taylor Swift and many others.
Okojo-Iweala was ranked at number 48, she was at 44 in 2014 while Alakija who was at number 96 last year came up at 87 this year.
According to Forbes:
"This is a definitive annual audit of the foremost heads of states, iconic entrepreneurs,CEOs, celebrity role models, billionaire activist, and pioneer philanthropists, all ranked by money, media momentum, spheres of influence and impact"
