Lupita Nyong'O Scores Her First Cover Of Vogue Magazine!!!

It has been an incredible year for Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'O. The 31 year old People's Magazine's most beautiful person  has landed her first Vogue Magazine cover celebrating her incredible break-out year. The photo shoot which was done in Marrakesh, Morocco makes Lupita the second African woman to cover Vogue. The first was Ethiopian model, Liya Kedebe.



The Lancomes' brand ambassador was accompanied by a cover line reading..."Her incredible break-out year" reflecting the skyrocketing success she has seen since her role as Patsey in '12 Years A Slave'  which earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

"I was really nervous about seeing myself in '12 Years A Slave' because it had been such a profound experience in all ways" Nyong'O told Vogue about her emotional raw role in the drama......

Destiny's Child Reunites For A Gospel Song 'Say Yes' By Michelle Williams***Video***

Yayyyyyyyyy......Destiny's Child is back together.... Ok! it's only for a video but, hey! we're still excited to see the trio together...***winks***

Grammy winner, Michelle Williams premieres highly anticipated new video for her hit song "Say Yes" featuring fellow Destiny's Child stars, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland. In this song, the award winning super-star ministers a classic Nigerian Staple "When Jesus Says Yes" but with a little twist to it...(She totally owned it)




The singer also uses the opportunity to unveil the beautiful cover for her upcoming new album "Journey To Freedom" scheduled to be released on September 9th, 2014. This will be her fourth solo album, which also features inspirational tunes like "If We Had Your Eyes" and "Fire" Since the release of the song "Say Yes", it has quickly risen to #1 on the Billboard's Digital Gospel Song Chart.

Michelle marked the release of the "Say Yes" video on Good Morning America.
In addition to the release of the video and the anticipation for the release of the album in September, Michelle will be performing at the Essence Music Festival in July and also starring on the new Oxygen Television Series "Fix My Choir" later this year!

The Aare Musulumi Of Yoruba-Land, Alhaji Arisekola Alao Dies At 69!!!!

Prominent business mogul and Islamic leader, Alhaji Abdulazeez Arisekola Alao, the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba-land is dead. He was 69. Alhaji Arisekola died yesterday, Wednesday, the 17th of June, 2014 in London where he was reportedly receiving treatment for colon cancer. Reacting to the news of his passing, the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Abiola Ajimobi described the Aare's death as tragic, disheartening and a big blow not only to Oyo State but to the Country at large.....

The Governor whose statement was issued through his special adviser on media, Dr. Festus Adedayo, described the late Islamic leader as a devout Muslim, a shrewd businessman and a philanthropist whose commitment to the cause of the downtrodden in the society was unequaled.

"Aare cannot die as those who lived the kind of life he lived, with imprints in the lives of millions of people never die. He lived a life that was devoted to the lives of others. It is indeed the end of an era for us in Ibadan and Nigeria in general" the governor said.

Until his death, the Alhaji Alao was the deputy president-general of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (N.S.C.I.A). Family source say his body will be flown down to Nigeria tomorrow and buried according to Islamic rites. May his soul rest peaceful in the Lord.....Amen!!!

Late Gospel Singer, Kefee's Remains Arrives Nigeria!!!

Barely a week after the demise of gospel singer, Kefee, her remains has reportedly arrived Nigeria ahead of a burial which will hold later this month. According to TheNetng, Kefee's body arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos via a Delta Airline and was received by a few family members.




It could be recalled that Kefee died on Friday, June 13th, 2014 after being in a coma for 15 days.(Read It Here)  A statement released by her UK manager informed that the singer died as a result of lungs failure and denied rumors that she was six months pregnant.

Meanwhile, a celebration of life is scheduled to hold in her honor in Los Angeles, California tomorrow the 19th of June, 2014....below is the postal for the event!

Amaka Igwe Laid To Rest In Arondizuogu, Imo State, Nigeria!!!

The remains of late Nollywood filmmaker, Amaka Igwe was finally laid to rest in her husband's home town of  Arondizuogu, Imo State on June 13th, 2014. The legendary movie producer/director sadly passed on April 29th, 2014. Prior to this final journey, a service of songs was held in her honor in which her colleagues from the movie industry gathered to bid her farewell in Lagos on June 9th, 2014. (Check It Out Here)

WORLD CUP 2014: Ellen Degeneres Slammed For 'Ignorant' US Vs Ghana Tweet!!!

Being a respected celebrity, one would expect award winning talk show host, Ellen Degeneres to know better. The 56 year old has been slammed as ignorant and disrespectful after making a controversial joke during the USA Vs Ghana World Cup match.

After America's Clint Demsey scored the opening goal just 32 seconds into the game, Ellen took to twitter to express her pride......

"Go USA! Fastest goal in US World Cup History in the USvsGhana game. 32 Seconds! It took me longer to look up where Ghana is" she tweeted.





I guess Ellen thought it was funny but the African communities are not laughing. Minutes after she posted the tweet she faced so much backlash that she had to take the tweet down....











Well, that was dumb Ellen and it's good that you took the tweet down but how about an apology for being so ignorant, insensitive and disrespectful...... How would you feel if i made an homophobic joke?  I'm sure you would have been all up in my business also. So, we demand an apology and we want it now!!!

Celebrities Refusing To Pay For Stuff? What is Wrong With The Picture????

Ok! What is wrong with our celebrities? It seem like every where i look, there is a celeb being accused of refusing to pay for stuff. Is it just another stunt to stay in the news? Is the life of a typical celebrity not what it seem like? .......What is the real deal?....What in the world is wrong with this picture!!!!!



Paris Hilton went to a hair saloon a threw a fit because the stylist wouldn't do her hair for free. (Really?)




Kourtney Kardashian reportedly didn't leave a tip while dinning in the Hamptons last week...(That's just wrong)



A couple of years ago, Lindsey Lohan racked up a huge bill at the Chateau Marmont and just refused to pay for it. The same year she also stiffed her faux-tan stylist nearly $40K for spray tans.(Just balling out of control on other people's account, must be nice!



Tara Reid was shopping at LA store, All Saints, and threw a fit when she found out that the store wasn't going to discount her purchases. She ended up not buying anything when she found out she had to pay....(Ohhh Poor Tara.....i hate to say this, but you are not that special)



Some celebrities don't even pay for their stylist! "Honestly, Salma Hayek never paid a dollar, i don't think, in all the years have worked for her. She and I were best friends" says her stylist, Phillip Bloch (Wowww, shining on the account of her stylist)



Justin Bieber got a tattoo last year which cost well over $1,000 and just refuse to pay. The tattoo artist said Bieber finally agreed to pay half of it.(Bieber, Bieber Bieber, i beg, how many times did i call you? It doesn't work that way. Pay for your tattoos son...it's not by force...lol)



Mariah Carey racked up a veterinary bill of $37, 790.32 and didn't pay. After the Vet filed a lawsuit, she paid $8,000 of the total bill. (Over $30 grands in Vet bill. Do you need the dog that bad Mariah?)



Prince went to New York restaurant 'Costata' and apparently didn't have any cash and just left without paying the bill. A week after, they were still trying to get him to pay up....(Hmmmm, what can i say? I guess when you are Prince, you can walk into any high end restaurant and eat for free)


So, these celebs are banking millions a year and won't pay for stuff......Why do you think they do that?
