Super star actor, Morgan Freeman is mourning the death of his 33-year old grand-daughter, E'dena Hines who was found stabbed to death on Sunday in front of her apartment in Manhattan.
E'dena's live-in boyfriend, Lamar Davenport, 30 is in custody for the murder. He was picked up by cops at the scene, in front of Hines’ apartment on West 162nd Street, and later charged with second-degree murder. Davenport, himself an aspiring actor is said to have a history of drug abuse and mental illness.

"The world will never know her artistry and talent, and how much she had to offer," Freeman, 78, said in a statement to E! News, about Hines.
"Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace."
Hines had studied acting and was involved with teaching urban youth. Hines and Freeman were not related by blood. She was the granddaughter of his first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, whom he divorced in 1979. He brought Hines with him to the Golden Globe Awards in 2005...
