Olu Of Warri Dies At 70!!!

The Olu of Warri, Godwin Edomi Ogiame Atuwatse II has died. He was 70. The Olu of Warri who became the king of the Itsekiri's in Delta state, in 1987 reportedly died on Friday, the 4th at a hospital in Lagos hospital. He leaves behind his wife, children and grand children. 
May his soul rest in peace (Amen)

Lauryn Hill Pays Homage To Fela Kuti, Visits The African Shrine And Hangs Out With Seun Kuti!!!

Barely 24 hours after her Lagos gig, soul music legend, Lauryn Hill paid a courtesy call on the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s Afrobeat Lounge, the New African Shrine located at Agidingbi area in Lagos, Nigeria.

The Grammy Awards winner was in company of her eight year old daughter, Sarah Marley and other members of her band. The singer was welcomed to the shrine by Afro beat star and son to the legendary Fela,  Seun Kuti who shared the photos on his page.

Really? That is some BS!!!

James Bond author Anthony Horowitz is being slammed by fans of Idris Elba and the many folks all over the world who have been clamoring for a black James for his remarks about the actor. The author is saying that talented, British actor Idris Elba is too street to play the famous British spy. Here is what he said....

 “For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond."

Robin Thicke And Ex-wife Paula Patton Gets Together To Spend Time With Julian!!!

Paula and Robin may have ended their relationship after 20 years together but when it come to their now five year old son Julian, they know how to put their differences apart and get together as a family. The exes have been seen and pictured together many times together observing their co-parenting arrangement religiously, since their divorce and this past weekend, they were pictured, taking the 5 year old to his football game at a Malibu park. That is so cool....Kudos to them, but I really would have loved for them to work things out and be together...for real, for real....lol. I love them as a couple!

The Notting Hill Carnival 2015 was held in London on August 31st and it was nothing short of fun for Nigerians in the diaspora who totally brought "it" on at the Nigerian Corner. The Corner was jamming with Nigerians partying like they were Rock Star. The event featured beautiful costumes, amazing dance moves and plenty of "joy rising" moments. In attendance were many celebrities, including event organizer and founder of Nigerian Corner...DJ Abass, Ayo Sonaiya, who also heped organize the event, Mc Abbey, Yaw Naija. Nikki Laoye. Rihanna Celebrates 10-Years In the Music Industry And Releases new Fragrance In New York!!!

It's kind of hard to believe that singer, Rihanna has been in the music industry for 10-years. The 27-year old celebrates a decade of amazing success in the industry.
She first came into limelight with her debut album, "Music of the Sun," in 2005. Seven albums, multiple Top 10 hits and eight Grammy Awards later, the original 'bad girl' is still waxing strong.

This year she's dropped three singles, including the Top 5 hit "FourFiveSeconds," and says she's busy working on her eighth album.
