O.J. Simpson Could Be Released On Parole As Early As Monday!!!

The "Juice" is about to be loose. A little over two months since the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners voted to grant O.J. Simpson parole, the Associated Press is reporting that he will tentatively be released as early as Monday.

According to the AP, there's a plan for Simpson, 70, to be released from a facility near Las Vegas as early as Monday, although a Nevada Department of Corrections spokesperson, Brooke Keast, told the news organization yesterday that documents haven't been finalized for his release just yet.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus announces She Has Breast Cancer!!!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the star of HBO show, "Veep" revealed earlier today that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She shared the news on Twitter.....

"1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one. The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality."

Hugh Hefner, Founder Of Playboy Magazine Dies at 91!!!

Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine and star of E! reality show The Girls Next Door, has died, He was 91. Confirming his death, his son, Cooper wrote.....

“My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom. He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history. He will be greatly missed by many, including his wife Crystal, my sister Christie and my brothers David and Marston, and all of us at Playboy Enterprises,” said Cooper Hefner, his son and Chief Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises.
Hef who founded the Playboy magazine with only $600 of his own money and built the magazine into a multi-million dollar entertainment empire died late Wednesday night. He will be missed.....

Dave Mathew, Pharrell Williams, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters And More Joins The 'Take A Knee Movement + Stevie Wonder's Powerful Speech At Concert For Charlottesville***VIDEO***

The number of celebrities using their platforms to speak out and stand up for what is right is starting to grow. Artist like Pharell Williams, Dave  Matthews, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, country music singer and former contestant on The Voice, Meghan Lindsey and many more have joined the 'take a knee' movement, supporting a gesture by NFL players who have started kneeling during the national anthem to draw attention to racial injustice.

Dave Matthews on Sunday night, took a knee alongside Stevie Wonder during a Charlottesvile concert following president Trump's attack on NFL players who kneel during the national anthem. Tagged "A Concert For Charlottesvile", the event described as a night of "music and unity" was held in the wake of last month's White Supremacist Protest and clashes in the town that left 32-year old, Heather Hayer dead and 19 others wounded.

Wonders came on stage with the Dave Mathews Band and said that Matthews was working to "spread the never-ending cry to love", according to BillBoard. He then shared  the words to a song that hasn't yet been released 'Fear Can't Put Dreams To Sleep'. After that, Wonder took a knee and Matthews did the same...."I take a knee for America, and two knees in prayer for our world. Amen" he said.

"NFL Players, Owners Take A Stand Against Donald Trump!!!!

President Donald Trump probably didn't realize he struck such a nerve with NFL players when he implored team owners to "get that son of a b***h off the field" for protesting during the national anthem.
The protest campaign started a year ago with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, As at last week, it was down to only six players, but Trump's weekend attack on the athletes not only cut deep into America's most popular sport league where the majority of players are blacks and many of them grew up in tough neighborhood, raised by single strong women, it also sparked angry reactions from around the sport world and drew defiance from most of the NFL.

Over 250 NFL players and their staffs either knelt, sat, stretched, locked arms or prayed during the "star spangled banner" to protest Trump's remark. Three teams didn't even take the field until the national anthem was over.

Players, owners and commissioners, past and present have been vocal about their distaste for president Trump's divisive remark but the angriest response came from players upset that he had insulted their mothers

The backlash to President Trump's remarks about protesting NFL players is spreading to the entertainment industry as legendary singer and activist, Stevie Wonder begins the 'take a knee movement' on the music stage. The iconic singer shows solidarity with the NFL players by taking not one knee but both knees at the Global Music Festival in New York on Saturday night. The singer was accompanied by his son, Kwame Morris who knelt next to his father....

"Tonight, I am taking a knee for America, but not just one knee, I am taking both knees. Both knees in prayer for our planet, our future, our leaders of the world and our globe. Amen"

12 Year Old Darci Lynne Farmer Becomes The New Champion Of 'America's Got Talent'!!!

The results are in in and your America's Got Talent season 12 champion is Darci Lynne Farmer.

The 12-year old won the night with incredible singing ventriloquist act, bringing her puppet, Petunia back on Wednesday for a performance of Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better) with fellow ventriloquist Terry Fato who won season 2 of America's Got Talent.

Miss Farmer took home the grand price of $1 million and a chance to headline her own show in Las Vegas. 10-years old vocalist, Angelica Hale came in second  while the Sosoliso air crash survival who won the hearts of folks all over the world came in 6th.

Emmys ‘In Memoriam’ Omits Dick Gregory, Harry Dean Stanton, Charlie Murphy!!!

How do you forget to honor a comedic legend and a renowned civil right activist!

Shame on the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for failing to honor the memory of two black greats, Dick Gregory, an iconic comedian who broke racial barriers in the '60s by using his humor to spread messages of social justice, and actor and comedian, Charlie Murphy of the "Chappelle's Show.
 This was was very disrespectful, and a complete slap in the face. There is no excuse for the Academy to omit an opportunity to honor these men during the 69th Emmy Awards "In Memorial" segment.
Dick Gregory will forever be remembered as a legendary comedian.
 His commentary led him into civil right activism, and his talent as a comedian helped bring national attention to integration and social equality for blacks. He died in Washington D.C at the age of 84.

She Met Him On Instagram, They went To Church Together And He killed Her Next Day!!!

A University of North Carolina professor, Dr. Jeanine Shante Skinner, 35 went to church with her boyfriend, Donny Lewis Franklin, 45, she met on Instagram on Sunday, only to be murdered by him, the following day.
Dr Skinner, who is loved by many was found dead in an apartment in the 9300 block of  Kings Parade Boulevard at 11.37am on September second. Police was called to the home to do a welfare check. The police immediately issued an arrest warrant for her-year old boyfriend, Mr Franklin.
According to the police, Franklin has been convicted of violent crimes in the past, including domestic abuse.
Skinner was an assistant professor of gerontology(the scientific study of aging) and psychology.
Authorities say that Skinner's body was badly battered when discovered.
  Franklin has since been arrested and charged with the murder.

Lagos Governmentt opens Nigeria’s First DNA Forensic Lab!!!

The Lagos State government has completed the construction of an ultra model DNA Forensic Laboratory in Nigeria.
The State's Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem disclosed this during a press briefing held at Bagauda Kaltho Press Center in Alausa, Ikeja to announce activities lined up by the State's Government to commemorate the 2017 United Nation International Day of Peace.
   “All these actions are geared toward enhancing peace in Lagos State,” Kazeem said.

Did he say peace?......lol. Ok o, isn't there a ridiculous percentage of children being raised by the wrong dads in Nigeria? Ok, let me stop. Good luck everyone. The DNA Center will be opened in the weeks ahead.

 In anticipation of Governor Rochas Okorocha's 55th birthday on September 22nd, 27 sycophants, yes, I said it, from 27 Local government areas of Imo State presented 27 cakes to celebrate and show appreciation to him. Really? 
And this is happening in a society were monthly salaries are not paid regularly. What is wrong with my people?

Don Williams, Country's 'Gentle Giant,' Dead at 78!!!

Don Williams, the Country Music Hall of Fame member behind hits such as "Tulsa Time" and "It Must Be Love," whose 6-foot-1 height and warm voice earned him the nickname "Gentle Giant," has died. He was 78!
Williams' rep confirmed the news in a release, noting that the singer had died following a short illness.

"In giving voice to songs like 'Good Ole Boys Like Me,' 'Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good,' and 'Amanda,' Don Williams offered calm, beauty, and a sense of wistful peace that is in short supply these days," 

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum CEO Kyle Young said in a statement Friday. 

"His music will forever be a balm in troublesome times. Everyone who makes country music with grace, intelligence, and ageless intent will do so while standing on the shoulders of this gentle giant."

Serena Williams Reportedly Goes Into Labour!!!

Tennis star, Serena Williams 35, has reportedly has gone into labor at a hospital in Miami, just hours before sister, Venus is scheduled to face Maria Sakkari of Greece in the third round of the US Open.
This is the first child for the 23 Grand Slam title winner and her fiance', Alexis Ohanian, 33, the co-founder of Reddit.

This could be a very good day for the William sisters. We wish them both the very best!!!

Beyoncé Launches Her Own Hurricane Harvey Fundraising Initiative!!!

Singer, Beyoncé has launched her own fundraising initiative to help out the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The pop icon revealed yesterday that her BeyGOOD Foundation is working with Bread of Life and the Greater Houston Community Foundation to raise funds for relief efforts. The Houston native's website encourages fans to donate to both organizations as the BeyGOOD team "heads to Houston to continue our relief efforts on the ground." Beyoncé herself has reportedly already donated a "significant" amount.

Queen Bey isn't the only celebrity getting in formation post-Harvey: 

Hip-hop artist, Drake also announced Thursday that he's donating $200,000 to a Hurricane Harvey relief fundraiser being held by Houston Texans player J.J. Watt. 

Watt has since raised over $13Million

The movie producer and media mogul just took the term "Love thy neighbor" to a totally new level. The "Boo 2, A Madea Halloween" has just donated $1-Million to Hurricane Harvey relief funds, with $250.000 of that cash going to Pastor Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church. 
Osteen, 54, came under fire this week after he allegedly refused to Open Lakewood's door to residents who were displaced by severe flooding from Hurricane Harvey.

The televangelist, denied shutting out Harvey victims and blamed flooding in the building for the delay.Lake wood eventually welcomed people on Monday.

In a Facebook video post on Thursday, Perry, 47, defended his long time friend and also explained his decision....

“I know that there’s been some controversy about Joel Osteen and him not opening doors of the church. Let me tell you something: Joel and Victoria are amazing people. There is no way they would lock people out of the church and not let people in for shelter,” he continued. “There were some safety concerns. I spoke to them on the phone, and it all made perfect sense to me so before you just run and judge somebody really quick, you need to know the whole circumstances … This million dollars, I’m breaking it up into quarters. I’m sending $250,000 to Lakewood to make sure that they can get all the supplies that people need. I know that they will, I know for sure that they will, because that’s the kind of person he is.”

Perry is also donating $250,000 to Beyonce's pastor, Rudy Rasmos, but he has not disclosed what other organization would receive the remaining $500,000. The move came after the actor and writer noted difficulty in finding the right charities to deal with the aftermath properly.

“I’m trying to figure out how to help, but I’ve given millions of dollars to charities in the past that never got to the people it was meant for,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday. “I know lots of people want to give and help but be careful. You really need to know how much of your donations actually get to the people before you choose an organization to give to.”
