A shooter at a community college in western Oregon has killed at least two people and wounded several others. The suspect was killed by police in an exchange of gunfire on campus, the sheriff says.
The exact number of casualties in the shooting at Umpqua Community College in the city of Roseburg is unclear. Douglas County Fire Marshal Ray Shoufler tells CNN that 11 people were transported to hospitals and that two of them have died. Oregon State Police Lt. Bill Fugate is quoted by KATU-TV in Portland as saying seven are dead and 20 wounded.
The man who opened fire is dead. He died during a gun battle with officers at the scene. May the souls of the victims rest in perfect peace and may God comfort their families. #TrulySad!
