JLo later took to the stage to perform her hit "First Love" She kept the audience on their feet as she stepped back on the stage to receive the award....
"Oh my God, what the heck?" JLo said as she grasped the award....."Music as always been my first love"
The star contiued to thank God, fans, family, friends and management (Benny Medina), Latinos (para mi gente) and then gave a special shout out to her young fans.....
"All you little ones, sitting on the living room floor, have faith, dream big, think big" she said. "And you know than anything is possible, you never know where you might end up"
Jenny is the first woman to receive the award. Past winners of the Icon award includes Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince.....
The award was held live from Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena.
