Ebola Patient, Thomas Duncan Has Died!!!!
The first person to be diagnosed with the deadly Ebola virus in the US, Thomas Duncan has died. According to official of the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, he died early this morning.....
"It is with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment that we must inform you of the death of Mr Thomas Duncan this morning at 7.51am" the hospital said in a written statement. "Mr Duncan succumbed to an insidious disease, Ebola"
The Liberian citizen who recently traveled fro West Africa to Dallas to reunite with a long-lost son and girlfriend, had been in isolation at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since Sept. 28th.
"He fought courageously in this battle" the hospital said. "Our professionals, the doctors and nurses in the unit, as well as the entire Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas community, are grieving his passing. We have offered the family our support and condolence at this difficult time"
Duncan, 42, is the first person known to die of Ebola in the US. The virus which spreads through direct contact with bodily fluid, has killed more than 3,400 people in West Africa in 2014 according to World Health Organization.
